TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK STUDY TOUR  – 29.9.2007

 

 
Full Day Study Tour to Natura 2000 site Triglav National Park

 

Guidance in English

 
A full day guided nature tour in the Triglav National Park will be provided. Each visitor will get the opportunity to explore some real-life examples of sustainable consumption and production.

 
The tour includes:

  • Travel by bus to the waterfall Pericnik and hiking with a Triglav National Park ranger along Triglavska Bistrica stream to the North Wall of Triglav Mountain Peak, 3 hours hiking
  • Bus transfer to Radovna Valley
  • Lunch at Psank organic farm in Zgonja Radovna.
  • Visit of the Pocar Farmhouse – an old house renovated as museum explaining the unique story of the history of the valley and residents of the Farmhouse. This year, Triglav National Park received a Europa Nostra diploma as a reward from the European Union for Natural Heritage, for their renovation of the Pocar Farmhouse.
  • Visit of Triglav National Park information centre the Triglav flower in Bled.

 

  

TOUR – waterfall PERIČNIK  and the valley VRATA – POCARJEVA farmhouse – PSNAK organic farm – return through the valley RADOVNA

 

8.00 – departure from Ljubljane
9.30 – visit to the waterfall Peričnik and a walk towards Triglavska Bistrica – 3 hours of light walking
12.45 – return towards Zgornja Radovna
13.15 – 15.15 – lunch at the Psnak restaurant in Zgornji Radovni
15.30 – 16.30 – a visit to the Pocar farmhouse 
16.45 – 17.30 - through the valley Radovna towards Bled
17.30 – 18.30 - visit of the informationn centre »Triglavska roža« (Triglav flower) in Bled


The guidance to the Triglav national park and the entrance fee to the Pocar farmhouse is free of charge.
 

 

Half Day Tour

 
Those who will leave Saturday afternoon can attend an organised guided tour around Ljubljana city centre.
